About the Role:

Based at Jakarta and reporting to the Customs, License & Government Relation Supervisor, the Customs Officer aims to administer the efficient and economical movement of goods (e.g., materials, products, equipment) across international borders in accordance with organizational policies and in compliance with relevant local, country and international customs laws and processes.

This role is offered as a permanent opportunity.

Key responsibilities include:

Exportation & Importation

  • Plan export and import schedules, including ex-works import delivery; communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth delivery.

  • Manage shipments documents for Exportation and Importation.

  • Monitor the imported goods movement, track delivery status, and communicate with user or related parties if delay happens.

  • Provide professional, efficient, and timely advice and/or communication to organizations in relation to FTAs, tariffs, incoterms, duties, restrictions, and permits.

  • Ensure the operational compliance with local/regional/global trade policies, standards, and controls.

  • Keep up to date with regulatory change related to imports and ensure that it is properly communicated to the Management in accurate and timely manner.

  • Coordinate with other entities under Sandvik group regarding imports, to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Manage import quota and submit a monthly report to government entities.

  • Prepare import quota calculation and assist to submit import quota request to government.

  • Review Import Agent performance.

Documentation

  • Prepare and manage the end-to-end import documents, including the issuance of necessary shipping, customs documents (invoice, packing list, certificate of origin), and legal compliance.

  • Manage all import document files in accordance with Indonesia customs regulations and company policies, to comply with audit standards.

About You:

You bring a tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, complemented by hands-on experience in a similar role. You have a proven ability in performing importation.
