About the opportunity

This role plays a key influencing role in supporting the Rock Tools business with a strong focus on major accounts within Australia. You will provide expert technical guidance in surface drilling applications, partnering closely with the Sales and Contracts teams to identify new business opportunities and optimise performance across our existing product portfolio. You will ensure contract processes are followed, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support the achievement of commercial objectives. A major focus of the role will be developing capability — both internally and externally — by upskilling our Sales and Contracts teams in product, applications, and digital knowledge, as well as delivering advanced product and technical training to customers.

In addition, the role provides ongoing technical product support to our sales teams and customers, ensuring our solutions deliver maximum value and performance in the field. Travel is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Business Growth and Development – Partner with the Rock Tools Sales Management team to identify and develop new business opportunities, support the creation of sales strategies, and maintain existing customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Contracts Teams – Work closely with teams to develop and execute ‘Value Sell’ product trials, ensuring alignment with market area goals and customer needs.
  • Provide Technical Expertise and Training – Deliver advanced drilling application and product training to customers and internal staff, enhancing technical capability across the underground hard rock drilling sector.
  • Support Continuous Improvement – Champion and implement continuous improvement initiatives within ROTO contracts, promoting best practices and the correct way of working across all sites.
  • Conduct Field Testing and Share Insights – Manage field testing of new product offerings, analyse and report trial results, and contribute to publishing success stories and product performance updates.
  • Contribute to Financial and Commercial Outcomes – Support the achievement of revenue, growth, and profit targets while managing expenses within approved budgets.
  • Monitor Market and Product Performance – Gather competitor intelligence, monitor product test results, assist with technical problem-solving, and contribute to product safety and risk assessments.

About you
You are a safety-focused and professional individual who leads with honesty, integrity, and a high level of technical expertise. With extensive knowledge of Surface Drilling Tools, including Top Hammer, Rotary, and DTH products, you bring strong training and presentation skills and a proven ability to develop strategies that enhance customer satisfaction. You excel at engaging, influencing, and building effective relationships with key stakeholders to deliver results. Highly driven and determined, you consistently work towards achieving goals and targets while maintaining a strong customer focus. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across global teams and time zones, you are skilled in documentation, report writing, and presentation preparation, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
