Position: Head of Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Rock Drills Technology Unit

We are seeking a proactive and strategic leader to oversee our manufacturing and supply chain operations for Rock Drills. Your role is to lead and direct all manufacturing and supply chain functions — from strategic planning and procurement to precision manufacturing, assembly, and delivery — ensuring safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective operations. You are responsible for driving operational excellence and performance, developing advanced manufacturing capabilities, and supporting new product introduction to meet current and future business needs.

As a key member of Rock Drills Technology Unit management team, you are key contributor driving the future of rock drilling.

The location for this position is at our Rock Drills factory in Tampere, Finland.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement manufacturing and supply chain strategies, with a keen focus on high precision machining manufacturing excellence.
  • Champion a strong safety culture across all manufacturing and supply chain operations.
  • Lead and manage sourcing, planning, manufacturing and quality activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives as well as lead operational excellence transformation, leveraging best practices and the latest technology.
  • Collaborate closely with demand planning and engineering to anticipate needs, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and operational excellence.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline
  • Several years’ progressive experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or operations management, preferably a strong background in high precision manufacturing operations.
  • Proven track record of leading multi-functional organizations and managing operations in complex high technology setting
  • Strong analytical, strategical, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities
