Sandvik Mining (SMR) IT is now looking for a SAP Functional Expert, Production and Planning for our delivery team working towards the Production delivery function. The position is permanent and located in our Pune office in India.

Your mission

SAP Functional Expert works closely with internal business stakeholders on SAP PP (Production and Planning) & WM (Warehouse Management) business processes focuses production and internal logistics and ensures the system is fully utilized and SAP Best Practices are followed. In this role you will be responsible for leading requirements gathering, workshops, development of functional design, UAT test scripts, and assist training development. Work collaboratively with other functional experts and business/technical teams to define solutions and business processes in SAP S/4HANA. You are going to play a critical role in ensuring that the business requirements are fully understood and that solutions meet business expectations.

Your main responsibilities

Enable Production S/4 HANA transformation with ongoing and future SAP S/4HANA deployments for our production units.
Lead requirements gathering and validation activities through workshops with business process owners and business analysts
Perform fit/gap analysis and create related functional documentation to provide the business with overview of options and provide recommendations for the best fit for the business
Develop functional specifications for customizations and enhancements which include reports, data migration and integrations
Transform business requirements into solution designs based on best practices to ensure the business is fully utilizing SAP S/4HANA functionality
Providing training and advice on best practices
Ensure documentation is prepared and maintained according to best practice
Support business teams during the creation of user test stories and provide functional support during business acceptance testing
Work closely with the Project Management team preparing status reports etc. with regards to the ongoing projects

Your character & background

You have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with Minimum of 5 years of SAP competence from PP, QM, MM - areas and project implementation work experience.

You are a highly motivated, delivery focused individual with exceptional analytical and problem solving capabilities. You have a can-do attitude and thrive on working in a multi-cultural team environment. You have excellent inter-personal skills and strong communication skills. You are proficient in the MS Office suite and are capable of producing high quality documents and outputs. You have some experience working in projects, and have some functional understanding of the Production processes in ERP. You set high standards for yourself and have a passion for excellence. You should have willingness to travel for business.
