Data Analyst - Focus Finance & Procurement

Do you enjoy turning financial and procurement data into insights that actually change how people work? In this role, analytics isn’t something you keep to yourself—you help others grow confident in using data and create real business impact together.

Why Sandvik Coromant?

You’re part of a global, data-driven organization where analytics, collaboration and continuous improvement matter. You get to:

  • Work in an environment that actively promotes data, analytics and AI self-services
  • Make a visible impact by enabling better decisions across Finance and Procurement
  • Be part of a collaborative Analytics Product team where knowledge-sharing is key

About the job

You act as a multiplier for data, analytics and AI self-services within the Analytics Champion and user communities. You combine business understanding with data-driven insights, perform proactive analyses and lead by example to foster analytics adoption. Focus is on financial data and procurement, and you sit within the Analytics Product team.

Job responsibilities

  • Perform proactive and reactive business and data analyses to support decision-making.
  • Act as a leading member of the Finance and Procurement analytics community, growing Analytics Champions and users.
  • Serve as the go-to person for senior domain stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to identify ideas and discover business requirements.
  • Provide second-level analytical support by guiding users to build their own insights.
  • Manage report endorsement processes, including peer reviews and quality assurance.

Location and flexibility

The position is based in Sandviken or Stockholm (Solna) and offers a hybrid, partly remote working model.

Your profile

You combine strong analytical skills with a genuine interest in enabling others to succeed with data. With a solid background in business analysis, you’re comfortable working close to stakeholders and translating complex data into meaningful insights.

Your background includes

  • Several years of experience as a business or data analyst within domains such as Finance or Procurement.
  • Proven ability to understand processes and data to drive the development of analytical data products.
  • Experience working with business intelligence and reporting solutions, preferably Power BI and Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with data warehouse or lakehouse solutions, knowledge of Databricks and/or Datasphere is an advantage.
  • A solid understanding of SQL, relational data models and star schemas.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.

You’re collaborative and enjoy working through others rather than being the sole expert. A coaching mindset comes naturally—you like explaining, guiding and helping people build confidence with analytics. Curiosity and proactivity drive how you work, and you’re comfortable influencing stakeholders and challenging ways of working to strengthen data-driven decision-making.
