Graduate Engineer Trainee

Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions (SMR) is a leading supplier of equipment and tools, services and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries. Our application areas include rock drilling, rock cutting, crushing and screening, loading and hauling, tunneling, quarrying and breaking and demolition. To our Regional Planning department at Patancheru, we are now looking for a 2-year development program as Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) to join us.

Your scope:

This is a 24-month structured development program designed to groom you into a Regional Demand & Inventory Planner role.

To be more specific, your main responsibilities to handle in this position are:

  • Ensure safety, employees’ health and support all the EHS initiatives along with other managers & maintain communication.
  • Support sales planning through data-driven forecasting and business insights
  • Analyse and challenge forecasts to improve accuracy
  • Manage demand variations and ensure optimal inventory levels
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure product availability
  • Contribute to S&OP processes and regional planning activities
  • Gain exposure to real-world supply chain, inventory, and customer dynamics

Your profile:

A graduate in Mechanical / Industrial / Production / Mechatronics engineering. A post graduate degree would be an advantage. You are enthusiastic and passionate about supply chain. You are very interested in making a career in supply chain.

Other required competencies that we find necessary are:

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proven collaboration and teamwork mindset
  • Basic negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to think strategically and proactively
