Field Service Manager (Nevada/Utah)

Sandvik Mining is looking for a Field Service Manager in Elko, NV.

Key Performance Areas

The Field Service Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of designated services within their area of responsibility. This role works closely with customers to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet expectations and defined scopes. The manager oversees workforce planning, safety, equipment, and operational standards in alignment with both customer and Sandvik policies.

In this role, you will:

  • Hire, coach, and develop team members, building service capabilities that align with customer needs and emerging technologies.
  • Manage resources to meet utilization targets and capacity requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and account teams to provide strategic input on expanding services and capabilities.
  • Build and strengthen customer relationships that lead to long-term, profitable partnerships.
  • Monitor competitor activity and conduct market research to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Partner with Product Line Managers to plan and deliver training on new products.
  • Manage costs in line with monthly and annual financial forecasts, ensuring sound financial controls and optimal resource utilization.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Sandvik’s OH&S, Environmental, and Quality policies, as well as OSHA and MSHA regulations.
  • Lead initiatives to improve safety awareness and overall KPI performance within the Branch Location
  • Prepare monthly reports by consolidating data regarding HSE, financial performance, field service performance, and Customer Satisfaction.

Work Environment

This role is based in Elko, NV with a standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week

Your Profile

  • Technical certification or diploma in a related discipline, with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and work ethic.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, communication, and active listening skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with a focus on achieving high levels of customer satisfaction

Preferred Skillsets

  • Knowledge of mining equipment and industry practices.
  • Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and equipment schematics.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and systems.
  • Experience facilitating technical training and communicating detailed information.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards.
