We embarked a seven year global Business Transformation program enabled by SAP S/4HANA in January 2021. This is a greenfield implementation for Sandvik, a large Swedish multinational group. Ireland was chosen as the central hub location for this business digitalisation initiative which we call the “Seamless Flow Program”. A second phase of the Program is now starting, with ambition to extend the template to our Sales Units

We are now recruiting for a Project Manager- Finance (Hybrid) - for a permanent role in our Dublin Office.
JOB PURPOSE
The Project Manager has a pivotal role in supporting the SMR Seamless Flow Program, which aims to deliver digital transformation in the Finance Process space. This role will support the Finance Process team in driving continuous improvement initiatives across both process and systems for our global finance user base.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Financial Process Improvement Projects: Manage end-to-end project delivery for finance process optimization initiatives, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
- Define Project Scope and Objectives: Work with the Finance Process team alongside key stakeholders to define clear project goals, deliverables, and timelines that align with broader organizational and finance department objectives.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with finance, IT, and other departments to ensure all project resources, information, and expertise are effectively utilized throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and Manage Project Plans: Create detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and risk assessments, ensuring that all aspects of the project are tracked and managed.
- Monitor and Report Progress: Regularly track project progress, measure performance against KPIs, and provide status updates to senior leadership, addressing potential roadblocks or delays proactively.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with project execution, proactively addressing potential issues that could affect timelines, budgets, or quality.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and transparent communication with key stakeholders throughout the project, managing expectations and addressing concerns as they arise.
- Change Management Support: Partner with the change management team to facilitate change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, training, and user adoption of new finance processes or systems.
- Post-Project Review and Continuous Improvement: Conduct post-project evaluations to measure the success of process changes, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for future improvements in finance operations.
EXPERIENCE
- 10 years of experience in project management
- Experience working on both Process and IT project delivery preferred
- Experience in managing Finance Projects
- Education, Licences & Certificates
- Educated to Degree level
- Project Management Institute (PMI) or similar certification
