Sandvik Coromant in Westminster, SC is looking for a

CNC MACHINIST

SUMMARY:

Set-up and/or operate various semi-complex to complex grinding equipment, this includes machinery for centerless grinding, cylindrical grinding, cut-off, CNC tool grinders, measuring equipment and various other equipment used in the manufacturing process of inserts. The requirement is to setup/operate all equipment needed to produce a Solid Carbide Insert according to print and standard operating procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Input quality, SPC, production and other required data into appropriate company information systems.
Perform primary maintenance on assigned equipment.
Assist maintenance group in performing major repairs as required.
Write programs for NC/CNC controlled grinders.
Perform each phase of the operation in full compliance with all company, state, and/or federal safety and environmental regulations.
Always maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned area(s) and observe company policies.
Responsible for achieving established cycle time efficiencies and machine utilization.
Perform other tasks assigned by Manager.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

Experience working with CNC machines in a mechanical or process industry preferred.
High School Diploma

SHIFT:

2nd (3:00PM to 11:15PM)

PAY CLASSIFICATION:

W3 ($19.00 - $31.12)
