Managing Director Walter Brazil

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Managing Director is responsible for leading the Walter Sales Company (WSC) in Brazil, in coordination with other appointed directors. This role involves fulfilling responsibilities in accordance with legal requirements, the company’s contract, and internal directives.

The Managing Director oversees sales, sales administration, marketing, engineering, finance and accounting, human resources, and organizational development within the WSC.

As part of the Walter Group, the Managing Director must align local management with the Central Management of the Group and execute duties according to the annually defined strategic plan.

The key objective is to provide strong leadership to the WSC team and implement the Walter strategy to achieve the company’s planned growth.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  • Operational execution of agreed strategies, guidelines, and objectives.
  • Manage the sales business to achieve target margins and increase market share, in alignment with Product Area Management.
  • Lead and develop the WSC team in accordance with Walter’s Management Principles, Code of Leadership, and Code of Conduct.
  • Support the establishment and nurturing of customer relationships.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, maintaining direct contact and presence.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
  • Maximize the potential of the WSC.
  • Report and control performance metrics across the WSC and sales team.
  • Maintain close communication with headquarters.
  • Ensure regular consultation with your direct manager, process owners, and other key contacts at HQ.

  • Experience within Cutting Tool Industry; technical aptitude.
  • Result driven, clear priority setting.
  • Proactive, energetic, drive, dynamic personality.
  • Strong emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English.
