M&A Manager

Your mission
As our M&A Manager you work with mergers, acquisitions, investments, divestments and other strategic projects of our SRP Business Area. Your mission involves actively managing the entire M&A transaction journey, which includes proactively seeking out acquisition targets or deals and following up on integration work. Your responsibility also enables opportunities for direct interaction with senior executives. Working in alignment with the M&A strategy, one of your key responsibilities is to collaborate with internal stakeholders in creating a plan for what to acquire and which transactions to participate in. You evaluate potential M&A opportunities and provide recommendations to senior management based on financial, operational, and strategic considerations.

Also included in your mission:

  • Develop strategic rationale for investments and target screening
  • Managing initial valuation, signing of NDA, establishing key terms and process for a contemplated transaction.
  • Responsible for presentations on M&A projects to management.
  • Development of decision material for C-suite executive & board-level.
  • Actively monitoring industry news and trends.

You report directly to the Vice President and Head of Strategy and Business Development and the locations for this role is Malmö or Stockholm. Although we offer you a hybrid workplace, we need your presence on site at least three days a week. Travel days will occur.

Your profile
To excel in this role, you possess a natural curiosity and a deep understanding within this field. You need the ability to manage multiple projects at once and to follow through and meet deadlines. It’s essential to have a flexible, adaptable attitude with a clear focus on teamwork while at the same time having the ability to work independently within a cross-functional team. You combine this with a strategic view and the talent to take the lead in establishing new ways of working. Interaction with external business partners such as advisors, consultants and lawyers is a normal part of the job and strong business judgement, ability to think strategically while managing complex project matters is key. With your outstanding interpersonal skills, you easily interact and build networks with stakeholders at all levels.

In addition to this you have a master’s degree in business administration, Finance or Engineering and several years of relevant work experience – within management consultancy, corporate M&A, investment banking or business development. Experience with M&A projects, together with an analytical background and expertise in project management, organization, and presentation development is a requirement. We operate worldwide, which calls for great communication skills and fluency in English.
