Working Arrangements

  • Casual role: 10–15 hours per week
  • Remote work available, with optional access to Sandvik’s Milton office
  • All deliverables completed in Microsoft Word

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyse existing handbook content to identify gaps and outdated material.
  • Conduct high‑rigour research using credible academic and industry sources.
  • Rewrite and restructure chapters to improve clarity, flow, and accessibility.
  • Integrate contemporary mining technologies, methods, and terminology.
  • Ensure complete and accurate referencing across all materials.
  • Validate technical accuracy of figures, illustrations, tables, and definitions.
  • Align all work with Sandvik’s EHS Vision, Standards, and organisational values.

About you:

  • Strong grounding in core mining engineering principles.
  • Excellent technical writing skills and ability to simplify complex topics.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to research, analyse, and synthesise information from multiple sources.
  • Effective time management and reliability in meeting deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset and openness to editorial feedback.
  • Commitment to ethical research and proper referencing.
  • 3rd or 4th year Mining Engineering student, or recent Mining Engineering graduate
  • Demonstrated understanding of mining engineering fundamentals
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
