JOB PURPOSE

The Technical Expert handles complex technical assignments requiring deep subject‑matter knowledge. The role provides expert-level leadership, advises customers and internal stakeholders, and ensures the readiness and optimization of products, technologies, and frontline operations. The incumbent acts as the primary technical contact point, ensuring effective communication between the Sales Area and Product Line/Factory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Expertise & Leadership

  • Serve as the recognized subject matter expert in the relevant product or technical area.
  • Analyze complex technical challenges and determine optimal solutions.
  • Support teams by providing technical direction and high‑level troubleshooting.

Customer Engagement & Support

  • Engage directly with customers to understand technical needs and operational challenges.
  • Provide expert advice and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Communicate feedback, insights, and technical findings to Sales Area and Product Line teams.

Product & Technology Readiness

  • Ensure readiness for new products, parts, resources, and technologies.
  • Develop and execute operational readiness plans.
  • Collaborate with Product Line Managers (Level 6) on product strategies and solutions.

Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving

  • Conduct root‑cause analysis for performance issues and failures.
  • Recommend product, process, or operational improvements based on expert insight.
  • Identify risks and anticipate challenges in product performance or customer operations.

Compliance, Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate technical records and reports.
  • Support audits, compliance checks, and technical governance activities.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards and industry regulations.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Technical Competencies

  • Deep understanding of product technologies, components, and systems.
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree, Advanced Technician Certificate, or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical field.
  • Proven experience in a senior technical, specialist, or expert-level position.
  • Demonstrated competence in product diagnostics and technical advisory work.
  • Experience working with customers in operational or field environments.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
