Job Title: Design Engineer – Ground Engaging Tool (P&S)

YOUR MISSION
The Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing bucket liner kits, modify bucket size and ground engagement tools design support. You will be involved in design validation, calculations and creating drawings for buckets and GETs.
Key Responsibilities
The Design Engineer GET will be responsible for Designing of buckets, liners and ground engagement tool (GET) for Loades and Trucks in Underground mines.
- Creation of right-level-of-detail CAD models / manufacturing drawings
- Creation of BOM for release of drawings for parts and services
- Perform BoM and technical specification comparision of key parts
- Good understanding of materials and standards
Good understanding on field service support
YOUR PROFILE
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 3-4 years of experience into Mechanical Design in Sandvik or relevant industry, with knowledge of Design standards, Material knowledge, Creating complex concept design and drawings for Loaders and Trucks
Technical Expertise:
- Experience in developing concept design
- Experience in Product application, different types of bucket and GETs
- Strong knowledge of deign calculation, analysis and validation
- Knowledge on materials and selection for underground mining applications
- Sound
- Experience in using Teamcenter and NX for modeling and drawing creation.
- Knowledge on authoring packages including Adobe Illustrator and Keyshot will be added advantage
- Experience working in an engineering/manufacturing environment, preferably mining or heavy industry.
- Spare part management, Bill of material handling and attribute understanding
- Knowledge on aftermarket process will be valuable
Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to design and develop bucket, bucket liner and GET
- Ability to perform calculations for the designs.
Communication and Collaboration Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work with global teams
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
