We are now looking for Engineer- Melting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Records and maintains melting and pouring process setup sheets
  • Optimize the melting and pouring process to improve the efficiency and quality with parameter adjustment, new method application & qualifications.
  • Assists in trouble shooting production processes.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with the entire steel melting and pouring process, should be familiar with Induction Furnace and relevant machinery and equipment used for Melting and Pouring.
  • Knowledge of Steel Melting Raw Materials (like Scrap, Fe Alloys, Deoxidation), preparation of charge mixes and their analysis on a Spectrometer
  • Improves and documents processes on existing melts, using established systematic techniques.
  • Ensure a correct Definition & Deployment of Process Flow on Melting and pouring Area.
  • Ensure Melting and pouring Shopfloor Documents & Instructions organization and compliance with Standards.
  • Contribute on proposition of initiatives and solutions on Melting and Pouring technical Troubleshooting.
  • Drive initiatives for plant productivity increase, material saving, and cost reduction.
  • Develop and improve on the processes related to Melting on Induction furnaces and Bottom Pouring ladle systems
  • Drive process improvements
  • Evaluate and propose use of new technology and equipment
  • Work with equipment and material vendors to resolve machine and material issues.
  • Manpower Planning & Handling

Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in same field. Hands on working in Manganese Steel Melting and pouring will be desirable.

Education: BE/Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgy or relevant fields
