Sourcing Specialist

Within our Parts & Services Division (part of Business Area Mining), our mission is to keep our equipment running at its full potential. We are responsible for the aftermarket business worldwide, developing tailored offerings and services to support our customers throughout the equipment lifecycle and deliver competitive and consistent service for Sandvik equipment. Our customer base ranges from large multinational mining and infrastructure companies and contractors to small and medium-sized enterprises, all of whom rely on our equipment.

We are now looking for a Sourcing Specialist for our Aftermarket Sourcing team. The position is full-time, permanent and located either at Turku or Tampere site in Finland.

Your role

As Sourcing Specialist, you will evaluate and negotiate with external suppliers for the purchase of parts and components across multiple categories, ensuring optimal procurement decisions aligned with global directives and governance models.

Through exposure to different procurement policies and performance indicators, you help drive continuous improvement in supplier management and business outcomes. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, as you work closely with peers and stakeholders to achieve impactful results.

Your main responsibilities

  • Develop and manage suppliers in Europe, ensuring key stakeholders' involvement in the determination of requirements, specifications, selection criteria, review of proposals, negotiations and suppliers’ relationship management.

  • Negotiate contracts and provide support to global, regional and local needs in regard to various suppliers.

  • Ensure various suppliers' optimal performance in terms of cost, availability, delivery, quality, reliability etc.

  • Ensure various suppliers' adherence to Sandvik policies and procedures (NDA, ABC, Trade Compliance, Contracts, etc.).

  • Manage contract/relationship with various suppliers, leveraging on their capabilities, uncovering and realizing maximum value, and reducing the risk of failure.

  • Map our business needs, and collaboratively develop and implement sourcing strategies, way-of-working and relationships towards various suppliers, ensuring procurement decisions support needs of key-users and stakeholders.

  • Prioritize and ensure that the sourcing tasks are performed in a timely manner.

Your profile

You are a proactive, self-motivated professional with strong social and analytical skills, and a results-driven mindset. You can build solid stakeholder relationships, drive results and promote cost effective and value-added solutions. You bring expertise in negotiation, strategic sourcing, and supplier account management.

You hold a degree or equivalent in business, engineering or supply chain. You are fluent both in Finnish and English. You have professional skills in Excel and data analysis, preferably with experience in SAP 4 Hana and exposure to developing Power BI reporting. Additionally, you are flexible to travel (~20%), supporting business needs.
