Your mission
As Vice President R&D, you lead the development and execution of our global research and technology strategy. You’re part of the Sandvik Coromant Management team, setting direction and driving cross-functional collaboration to deliver world-class solutions. Taking ownership of the full product portfolio, you ensure that our R&D efforts align with commercial ambitions, customer needs, and sustainability goals.

This position offers flexible working arrangements, preferably Europe, and you report directly to the President of Sandvik Coromant.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with a master’s degree in science or a related field, you’ve led product development and technology organizations with a strong strategic lens. You combine deep technical understanding with solid business acumen and a customer-first mindset. Experience in general management and cross-functional leadership is key. Acting in a truly global environment calls for proficiency in English, verbally and in writing.
You lead with integrity, curiosity, and courage. You’re entrepreneurial, decisive, and comfortable navigating complexity. With a humble and trusting approach, you build trust, challenge the status quo, and inspire teams to grow and deliver. You think holistically, act collaboratively, and never lose sight of the bigger picture. A flexible schedule and global mindset are essential.
