The Role
To provide expert frontline Human Resource operational support to ultimately offer comprehensive and value-adding advice, support and solutions to division of Sandvik across South Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Will operate in and be responsible for more than one of these areas and perform many of the same activities as professionals that specialize in these individual HR functions.
HR Program advocacy, communicating the business values of HR initiatives and managing HR program roll out to minimize business disruption.
Partnering with the business and talent acquisition colleagues on key initiatives (e.g. workforce planning, high potential employee development, succession planning etc.).
Coordinates the performance contracting process annually.
Coordinates reporting and monitors action plans to ensure continuous performance dialogues.
Follows through the measures and activities needed to develop a culture of a high performing organisation.
Communicates with line management and prepares them for the Sandvik Employee Engagement Programme.
Analyses the results of the Employee Engage survey findings on a quarterly basis.
Supports line management in presenting survey results to the employees.
Monitors action plans, dialogues and results of this implementation.
Manages disciplinary and grievance processes constructively.
Profile required:
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 7) or National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Human Resources field.
Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification. Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 5 years of experience working in HR generalist roles providing services to Line Managers
English Proficiency
Valid drivers license
Must be flexible to travel within country where required to give support across multiple sites, and in some circumstances be able to provide support across multiple areas of specialism.
Notice Period
Notice period on all positions is 20 working days from date of resignation, unless otherwise agreed to by managers.
