Change Management Specialist

We are now recruiting for a Change Management Specialist (Hybrid)- for a permanent role in our Dublin or Mississauga office.

JOB PURPOSE

Sandvik is a large Swedish multinational high-tech engineering group that offers products and solutions for mining, rock excavation, rock processing and metal cutting. We have started to implement a continuous improvement operating model which will enable us to identify opportunities for process improvement and will help to realize the goals that are set to achieve operational excellence. Through our “Seamless Flow” Program, we are driving implementation and business enablement of SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, MDG and connected systems for Divisions operating through our Distribution Centre and Sales Units.

The Change Management Specialist is a key position within continuous improvement and the digital initiatives. The role will enable the successful adoption of digital transformation initiatives through a focus on people, including driving engagement and readiness for changes to business processes, technology, job roles and organisation structures.

The role will support all change and training related activities for the implementation, from impact assessment, stakeholder engagement and communications through to end user training and business adoption. The primary responsibility will be delivering on the change management strategy and plans that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance to change. The role will be actively engaged in the development and delivery of the training program to the impacted stakeholders. The role will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilisation of, and proficiency with the changes that impact employees. The role will negotiate with the management levels in the organisation to ensure that the change is appropriately understood and supported by all people managers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consults and collaborates with the process teams to identify change impacts and appropriate change interventions that support the employees’ transition to new ways of working.
  • Develops communication materials with appropriate messaging that helps cultivate engagement and acceptance to maximise adoption and benefits across the entities and geographies in each deployment wave.
  • Supports business readiness activities through all programme deployment waves and phases as well as continuous improvements.
  • Helps to create an environment that supports continuous connectivity, collaboration and knowledge sharing across the geographies and entities.
  • Coordinates champion/floorwalker activities across the geographies and entities.
  • Consults and collaborates with the process teams in the program to complete change management assessments.
  • Supports the change management lead in identifying, analyzing and preparing risk mitigation tactics.
  • Supports the change management lead in identifying and managing anticipated resistance.
  • Supports and engages with managers, senior leaders, change champions and super users to enable effective change transition.
  • Supports role to position mapping for all impacted end users, organizational design and the definition of roles and responsibilities.
  • Coordinates and supports change management activities with process leads, process specialists/owners, champions and super users.
  • Evaluates and ensures business readiness.
  • Manages communications across stakeholder groups.
  • Tracks and reports issues to the change management and training leads.
  • Defines and measures success metrics and monitors change progress.
  • Other Ad hoc duties as requested by Management.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years experience in a change management role, supporting complex change initiatives, in a large scale or multinational organization preferred
  • Experience of major transformation programs required
  • Experience supporting change management activities on a technology transformation program preferred
  • SAP, ERP or supply chain functional experience is advantageous
  • End-to-end process improvement experience is advantageous
  • Data analytical tool (PowerBI, Excel) experience advantageous

EDUCATION, LICENCES & CERTIFICATES

  • Educated to degree level
  • Certification in Change Management preferred
  • Certification in Project Management desirable
