Workshop Service Technician – Orange, NSW
About the opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified local Service Technician to our workshop based in Orange, NSW.

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled professional to carry out efficient diagnostics, maintenance, rebuilds and repairs on our cutting-edge mobile equipment used in the mining and construction industries.
As the go-to expert for our state-of-the-art mobile equipment, you’ll ensure peak performance and reliability, boosting productivity for our customers by applying your proactive approach to machine performance. Your efforts will drive success by helping our customers achieve their operational goals, expanding our customer base, and growing our support team. To support you, we offer comprehensive product training to keep you at the top of your game, along with dedicated support from our expert product support personnel.
Roster: 7 days on, 7 days off (Day Shift & Night Shift)
Machinery worked on: Underground (UG) Loaders, UG Trucks, UG Drills and the occasional Surface Drill repairs.
Responsibilities
As a Service Technician, you will be:
Conducting general mechanical and auto electrical duties, including maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
Executing mechanical and auto electrical maintenance tasks according to maintenance plans, ensuring the integrity and safe operation of the equipment.
Offering valuable feedback to enhance maintenance planning and efficiency.
Keeping meticulous records of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time logs.
Strictly adhering to all policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on EHS policies.
About you
We are looking for someone based near Orange, NSW with an Australian recognized Mechanical or Auto Electrical Trade Certification. Your demonstrated experience with trucks, loaders, and drilling mobile mining equipment will be a distinct advantage. You should have a strong and proven safety culture, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong customer service focus. Your motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals, along with a proactive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to take initiative, are essential. Basic computer literacy and a Class C Manual Driver’s License are required.
