Product Development Manager
The Rock Drills Technology Unit is responsible for the product development, supply and support of premium rock drill offering for Surface Drilling and Underground Drilling applications as well as for global aftermarket and service. Our expertise in best-in-class rock drilling technology is recognized globally, and it drives us to continue excel through innovation in rock drills, digital products and supply chain excellence. We pride ourselves on delivering the most reliable rock drills in the world that meet and exceed customer safety and productivity needs.
We are now looking for a Product Development Manager. This position is full-time, permanent and located at Tampere Myllypuro site. Your mission is to lead Rock Drills product development teams delivering best in class new rock drills and digital products and secure the competitiveness of current products. You are key driver of our strategy and valued member of Rock Drills Technology Unit management team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the product development organization, including resourcing, finding talents and developing competences
- Manage the daily and weekly capacity and task management to ensure delivery of activities in time, scope and budget
- Act as a mentor for the rock drills and digital product development by sharing information, connecting people and data as well as innovating together with the team
- Ensure IP protection by securing the rock drills engineering data and act as gate keeper to minimize sharing of the critical information
- Drive innovation culture in Rock Drills product development to ensure competitiveness
- Ensure timely Digital products development in scope, budget and quality
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering on relevant discipline
- Several years of experience leading product development organizations
- Proven track record of leading organizations and managing operations in complex high technology setting
- Strong analytical, strategical, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Fluency in English and Finnish is mandatory to be successful in the role
