The Parts & Services Division in Sandvik Mining has a unique opportunity for a Strategic Pricing Analyst to join our Pricing & Commercial Analytics team.
Within our Parts & Services Division, we are responsible for the worldwide parts and services activities in Mining, with sales around € 2 billion in the mining and construction industries. Our customer base ranges from large multinational mining companies, to mining contractors, but also to small and medium-sized enterprises, that all use our equipment.
The Pricing and Commercial Analytics team, is responsible for pricing of all items, tracking our installed base of equipment, and commercial analytics and insights. In this role your decisions have direct impact on Sandvik's profit and commercial strategy and market share.
About the job
In this role, you work with both the global commercial team and the local Sales Areas worldwide to ensure the alignment in prices and processes between systems, teams, and minimize variances and monitor margins. You manage things such as contract price lists, global framework agreements (tailored customer contracts) as well as harmonization of regional prices. You liaise with regional stakeholders to ensure pricing strategies are implemented and maintained, and also you advise on factors that determine prices in local regions.
In this position you interact continuously with other teams, such as Product Line, Sourcing, Business Control, Logistics teams and Global Account Managers. You report to the Global Pricing Manager and the position is based in Amsterdam.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a University degree in either business, finance, engineering or science. You have a strong commercial background and working with numbers and calculations comes naturally to you. You have at least some experience in pricing. Next to that, experience in sales, customer service, commercial excellence and/or GTM strategies is highly valued. Please elaborate on any relevant experience in your application. Advanced knowledge of Excel is a must, and PowerBI is a plus. As we operate in an international setting, you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
