Job Summary: A position for a Field Service Electrician has arisen within the company. The successful candidate will be responsible to carry out installation of electrical equipment at customer’s sites as per applicable standards in line with company policies and procedures.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Installation of electrical equipment at customers site in compliance with relevant codes and safety regulations.

2. Troubleshooting and repairing of electrical systems and components.

3. Conducting safety inspections and ensuring all work areas are safe for employees.

4. Providing technical support and guidance to other technicians and apprentices.

5. Completing work orders and service reports accurately and timely.

6. Keeping accurate records of parts used and labor hours spent on each job.

7. Communicating with customers regarding status of repairs and updates on progress.

8. Assisting with inventory management by identifying slow-moving or obsolete parts.

9. Adherence to Company Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12 School Certificate.

• Diploma in Electrical

• Experience in industrial, commercial or domestic installations and fault finding in low voltage circuit.

• Good knowledge of safety requirements when working on or near exposed live parts.

• Valid driver’s license (manual transmission).

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination.

• High degree of integrity, trustworthiness and reliability.

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

• Team player with a positive attitude.

Work Conditions: Ability to work in various environments such as underground and open cast.
