Learning and Development Coordinator

Location: Sudbury, ON

Currently, we have an opening for a Learning and Development Coordinator. The L&D Coordinator has a key role within our HR Team. In this role, the person will work closely with the HRBP Learning & Development key stakeholders to support a wide range of Learning & Development initiatives and manage the administrative aspects related to these functions.

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping others? We’re looking for an L&D Coordinator to support day-to-day L&D tasks and office operations. You’ll handle employee records, help with onboarding, coordinate training and recruitment, support immigration processes, and ensure compliance with Quebec laws. You’ll also assist with health and safety activities and keep the office stocked and running smoothly. If you enjoy variety and working with people, this role is for you!

What you will be doing

  • First point of contact for L&D inquiries; resolve, assign or escalate depending on the complexity of the request.
  • Support maintenance of training and L&D records, generate reports.
  • Support the coordination of trainings (ex: Global and Leadership trainings, LinkedIn Learning licenses, Mandatory Compliance Training, etc.).
  • Assist in HR ad-hoc projects and activities.
  • Assist with planning of annual training calendar
  • Coordinate charge backs for training costs

What you will bring along

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in an HR Administrative or Training Coordinator role, ideally as support in Learning and Development functions.
  • HR certification (CHRP, CHRL) considered an asset.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset
  • Experience with LMS or other Learning Systems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Thrives in high paced high volume environment
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Intermediate level in Excel (creating tables and basic formulas, using filters, using pivot tables, sorting data).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess issues and recommend solutions.
  • Adaptability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
