At Sandvik, we’re now looking for the Country HR Coordinator and HRS Manager for the United Kingdom to join us. We are looking for a passionate individual who will collaborate with the HR community and business leaders in the UK to drive both people and business development. About the job

In this dual role position, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating collaboration in the UK, one of Sandvik’s important European markets with more than 750 employees. Through creating alignment within commonly agreed areas, connected to both HR and other local topics, you will help drive quality, efficiency and cost efficiency. You will coordinate agreed country HR policies and programs, and act as a senior and objective sparring-partner for complex employee relations or human resources matters.

In this position, you will report to Global Head of Sandvik Machining Solutions HR Shared Services - Sandvik Machining Solutions which is one of the Business Areas of Sandvik Group.

The location for this role is preferably Halesowen, close to Birmingham (UK).

Your responsibilities will also include:

Coordination of country common interactions with government authorities, solicitors and other third party liaision and local unions where applicable, especially during organization restructuring, crisis management or major country legislation changes, etc.;

Working with all the UK business stakeholders and the Country HR Council developing and upholding agreed country HR policies and programs;

Being responsible for directing and maintaining Country level Pension/Retirement plans and statutory/supplementary benefit programs;

Acting as a senior and objective point of consultation for complex Employee Relations or Human Resources matters and coordination of necessary country activities connected to M&A projects.

Delivering common SMS HR services based on the SMS HRS Service Level Agreement (SLA), including managing the HRS service catalogue and pricing model with a combination of fixed allocations and pay-per-use approaches; Implementing quality measures and ensuring customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups and quality assurance.

Staying close to the business and frequently interacting with customers to gather insights about their needs.

Working closely with the Global Head of SMS HR Services together with the broader SMS HR Service team, contribute to the further development of the SMS HRS organization according to the blueprint.

Managing the local HRS budget, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on HR Services financial performance and other relevant KPIs.

We also believe that being a strong leader will help you to manage the HR services team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to secure day to day performance as well as career development initiatives.

About you

We are looking for someone with a University Degree in Human Resources or allied area and a minimum of 10 - 12 years of HR managerial experience working with several different HR processes. We believe that your empathetic leadership and your experience in a complex/matrix organizational environment will help you to be successful in this role. Strong HR operations background with excellent business understanding, good customer interaction and people management skills as well as strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills are essential competency required by this position. Local HR Legal/Regulatory knowledge with hands-on experience as well as fluency in English are mandatory requirements. It is beneficial to have a broad knowledge of Sandvik, including its operations and culture, we also highly value experience from M&A and change management.
