Job Purpose:
- To ensure effective pattern development, maintenance and availability to support smooth foundry operations.
- To work in close coordination with the production team to ensure patterns are available as per daily and weekly planning.
- To ensure high-quality pattern inspection, repair, and readiness to meet safety, quality and delivery requirements.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Coordinate pattern development as per foundry requirements.
- Maintain and repair existing patterns to ensure dimensional accuracy and casting quality.
- Ensure pattern availability strictly as per production planning and casting schedules.
- Work closely with the production team for daily pattern readiness, issue resolution and priority alignment.
- Perform in‑depth checking, measurement and validation of patterns to ensure they meet drawing and process standards.
- Manage pattern storage, identification, traceability and documentation.
- Coordinate with quality and design teams for pattern improvements or modifications.
- Ensure tools, equipment and machinery in the pattern shop are maintained and calibrated.
- Maintain safe working practices and ensure compliance to 5S in the pattern shop.
- Maintain records of pattern status, repairs, rework history and movement.
Coordinate daily in moulding shop check all process parameters and core setting of the Mould and core.
Adhere requirement of Process control and pattern shop & Moulding shop.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
- In‑depth knowledge of pattern development, materials and repair techniques.
- Strong understanding of casting processes and dimensional accuracy requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of woodworking/metal pattern tools and equipment.
- Problem‑solving, planning and coordination skills.
- Good communication skills for cross‑functional coordination.
EXPERIENCE :
7–10 years of experience in pattern shop or foundry operations. EDUCATION :
Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or Foundry Technology. LICENCES & CERTIFICATES:
Relevant technical certifications (preferred).
