Digital Tools Engineer

Underground Drilling Division within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is an industry leading global provider of drilling equipment for underground mining industry with focus on technology development and future innovative solutions to enable sustainable operations for our customers. Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy’s Tampere Site is a global technology and manufacturing center for Underground Drilling equipment.

We are now looking for a Digital Tools Engineer to join our Underground Drilling Division Supply Operational Excellence team. This is a permanent position based in Tampere, Finland.

Your role

You will focus on the digital tools in the Underground Drilling Tampere Supply Chain organization. For example:

Maintain Power BI reports, Power Apps solutions, and Power Automate flows and develop new ones
Own the Power Platform solution portfolio
Support your colleagues in improving digital tools skills
Build and maintain skills in data technologies, data analysis and AI
Participate in small IT development
Participate in and manage development projects

What we are looking for?

You have a suitable technical educational background (e.g., Engineer or Master of Science). You have already proven yourself in developing Power BI reports. You understand data modeling and SQL. You understand wider business needs and manufacturing environment. You find innovative solutions to complex problems. You can build strong professional relationships with relevant stakeholders and communicate with them at all levels. A solution-focused mindset and good interpersonal skills are required to be successful in this job. Your way of working is systematic and well organized and remains also under pressure. Practical approach and problem-solving skills are highly appreciated.
