About The Role
We are seeking a proactive Regional Supply & Demand Officer for our operational and tactical planning of the Ground Support and Rock Tools Supply Chain in the aspects of the forecasting process and operational tasks in inventory replenishment for both internal and external suppliers. The Regional Supply & Demand Officer drives and owns the Regional Sales and Operations Planning for both areas whilst coordinating seamlessly with key Divisional contacts and Customer contacts to drive alignment with all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Leading the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to agree with Sales Engineers and Line Manager for Forecast numbers
- Ensuring the timely collection of forecast data, perform gap / trend analysis and recommending process improvements to all stakeholders
- Assisting in the development and continuous improvement of related business systems to identify any glitch and any additional reports required to effectively manage his/her area of responsibility
- Ensuring continuous communication and collaboration of forecasting and inventory management data with the regions and key stakeholders. The purpose is to balance product Demand and Supply for the next rolling 12 months.
- Providing feedback and making recommendations to regions to ensure orders are created according to the forecast
- Providing support to internal departments in order to improve inventory management
- Maintaining inventory parameters in collaboration with regional manager for all responsible stockrooms
- Replenishment Planning based on the forecast (12 months rolling every month)
- Releasing orders according to system requisitions and customer orders
- Managing expediting requests from regions. (Once the requirements for the next 12 months are received from CIS, this role makes sure that orders are placed with the suppliers including Sandvik manufacturing plants (Supply) of these Products that are located globally and make sure that they follow up on delivery dates).
- Performing detailed inventory analysis opportunities and optimize inventory levels
- Working with all relevant stakeholders to establish both short- and long-term inventory strategies
- Providing back up support for stakeholders – internal and customers as required
- Internal travels local/foreign for business needs and customer site engagements with identified key persons as part of multi-disciplinary team efforts to drive business.
- Monitoring KPIs related to inventory (Fill rate, OSMI, DII, OFLT, Forecast accuracy).
Qualification & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or related discipline).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel for data analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
- xzStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge and practical experience in:
- Inventory Management
- Forecasting and Demand Planning
- Supply Chain Fundamentals and General Supply Chain Management
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary and cross-functional team environment.
- Highly accountable, responsible, and customer-focused, with a strong commitment to service excellence.
- Demonstrates strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
