Key Account Manager
Main Responsibilities
Relationship Management
Manage and strengthen relationships with key customers to grow overall market share, increase share of wallet, and drive long-term customer loyalty.
Ensure effective communication and information flow between customers and internal stakeholders to align understanding and approach.
Account Business Planning
Develop, maintain, and grow key customer accounts through a structured account management process that integrates customers’ strategic requirements with Sandvik’s value propositions.
Create and manage a comprehensive business plan for the region, focusing on long-term growth and value co-creation between both organizations.
Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with major accounts to enhance brand awareness and ensure profitable partnerships.
Customer Support and Engagement
Provide ongoing, high-quality support to high-value clients, ensuring their needs are met effectively and promptly.
Possess in-depth product knowledge and a strong understanding of the client’s business to deliver tailored solutions and recommendations.
Sales and Business Development
Lead the direct sales process with the goal of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Organize and conduct regular visits to existing and potential clients to identify business opportunities.
Retain and nurture long-term customer relationships with established clients.
Act as the main liaison between clients and internal departments to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
Introduce new products and services to clients and recommend suitable solutions aligned with their business needs.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in key account management, sales, or business development, ideally within mining, manufacturing, or a related heavy industry.
Proven experience in managing strategic customer accounts, preferably in mining, manufacturing, or a related industry.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with fluency in English (spoken and written); additional SEA regional languages are a plus.
Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia as needed.
