Technical Support Manager

In Sales Area Northern Europe, we’re responsible for sales and service activities in 21 countries in Northern, Central and Eastern Europe. We’re now looking for a Technical Support Manager. The position is permanent and location is flexible around Europe.
As the Technical Support Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering world-class technical support for Sandvik’s Load and Haul equipment across Northern Europe. You’ll be the driving force behind product reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence, ensuring that our support strategies align business objectives and customer needs. In this leadership role, you will oversee technical performance while building and nurturing a high performing, engaged, and technically skilled team. Through strong leadership, development, and empowerment of our Product Specialists, you’ll ensure the delivery of consistent, high-value support throughout the entire product lifecycle—from introduction and implementation to optimization and fleet upgrades.
Main responsibilities
- Be first point of contact for technical support within SA Northern Europe for Load and Haul products. Coordinate and occasionally organize product trainings for sales and service personnel for the LOHA products.
- Liaise with factory technical support team to establish self-reliance and best practices for SA NEUR. Part of this role is to provide feedback to factories to enable improvements to the equipment or its operation.
- Ownership of TIM (Technical issue management) and TFM (Technical feedback management) processes for SA Northern Europe for Load and Haul products
- Investigate warranty claims proactively and reactively to enhance customer satisfaction and provide feedback to the respective factories.
- Become a champion of LOHA BEV technical knowhow
- Monitor test results for new products to implement improvement of the product.
- Support the service competence mapping process for Load and Haul in SA Northern Europe in cooperation with Parts and Services division
- Work with customers to develop comprehensive system project plans, project schedules and commissioning activities, visits customers to provide in-depth product knowledge and ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with Company Values and current Company Policies and Procedures.
Your background and profile
You bring a strong technical background, complemented by proven leadership experience. With a solid understanding of the mining industry, you’re skilled at balancing big-picture thinking with attention to detail. You have extensive experience in solving, leading and coordinating complex technical issues within underground mining equipment and you are experience in leading a team of technicians.
You have on technical education or bachelor’s degree and we prefer years of experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, preferably in the field of construction or mining machinery.
