Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, parts, service and technical solutions for the mining and infrastructure industries. The Role
To manage direct sales growth for new business within the Zimbabwean Territory and drive the growth of Parts and Services through directing the salesforce to increase sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage a detailed Account Business Plan for each account, which sets out the future business growth of the account by aligning the organizations to co-create long-term value within the relationship.
- Develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective engagement across all levels to ensure that identified value is captured.
- Ensure that the value delivered by all the Sandvik offerings is understood by the relevant customer stakeholders at all levels as it applies to them.
- Measure the performance of the customer account against the expectations of the plan and adjust wherever necessary through effective and decisive action.
- To assess the account´s total potential with SMR products & services and develop future market potential for SMR business with the account. Perform opportunity analysis by operations/projects on share of wallet.
- To adhere to the guidelines of the Global Framework Agreement with the account. Responsible for providing inputs on the Agreement´s compliance, conformity and performance.
- Responsible for calculations of budgetary and investments providing the company & the responsible account with all necessary details
- To develop and implement a local account business plan annually to secure new business of the account within a defined area and responsibility. Responsible for customer satisfaction locally.
- To liaise directly with the account´s local mine management in order to understand their needs and requirements. Responsibility for relationship management with the account.
- To co-ordinate both sides to support products & services delivery as being a single point of contact on the site.
- To regularly update the local account business plan with business activities, relationship development, and opportunities through sales.
- To provide inputs from the site(s) related to new developments and innovations for operational efficiency on safety, productivity & operational costs.
- Comply with the SMR SHEQ management system and the Objectives and Targets set
Your Profile:
- Degree in Sales, Business Administration or Mechanical Engineering/ Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 3 to 5 years business development and/or sales experience within the mining industry.
- Parts sales and application experience would be advantageous.
- Medical and physical ability to work in a mine environment
- Willingness to travel extensively
- English proficiency
- Computer literacy
- Valid driver’s license
