Electrical Engineer
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Well known all the product knowledges (including design and application) from electrical control aspects as R&D Electrical Engineer.
Design and maintain electrical systems (e.g., schematics, lay-out drawings, cable harness, BOM)
Underground drill software (CAN bus and PLC based) upgrading and new features development.
Create and maintain other engineering documentation (e.g., calculations and specifications)
Respond to and execute Engineering Change Notices (ECN), make product design change/optimization independently.
Make analysis for defect components and groups, figure out the root cause and provide know-how.
Localization and cost down. Keep implementing cost down measures. Ensure designs are in compliance with local legislation.
Support Sourcing Team to set up local suppliers.
Hotline technical support to production or other departments when needed.
Collaborate and give support to production on machine assembly and testing, sourcing, documentation, spare parts. Reduce scrap cost.
Support to quality improvement activity/project to approach global quality requirement.
Provide technical support for global customers’ request, to enhance customer satisfaction.
Keep tracing competitor’s similar products.
Business travel (approx. 5%) and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or related is required.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 8-year relevant designer role experience, major in Engineering, Heavy machinery, underground drill in R&D branch.
Technical background
Electrical general layout (Schematic or circuit) and detail design.
PLC control and coding experience are significant benefits.
CAN bus knowledge and experience are very preferable.
Knowledge of local electrics components (relays, switches, cables, wires, etc.)
Deep understanding of electrical control systems and design
Seen as benefits: Knowledge of Digitalization, BEV, Hydraulic system.
Proficiency with dominant electrical design tools, like E-PLAN, SEE, TIA Portal or other is mandatory, better to have experience about Teamcenter or Windchill or SAP.
Teamwork abilities, self-oriented and active, systematic, exact and perseverance, truthful and open
PC skills including proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Very strong sense of responsibility and learning capability, hardworking.
Strong practical skill, self-starter, work under pressure.
Excellent trouble-shooting skills, ability to communication with customers, suppliers
Experience in working with continuous improvement in large, complex matrix organizations.
Proficient English in reading and writing. Fluent oral English is a plus.
