Tax Specialist – M&A
Are you ready to take on a key role in a dynamic, international environment where your expertise truly makes a difference? At Sandvik Group, we’re looking for a business-oriented Tax Specialist to join our collaborative and highly skilled Group Tax team.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a global organization, driving strategic tax initiatives and supporting major business decisions. Welcome!
Shortly about Group Tax
Group Tax is responsible for managing the Sandvik Group global tax position and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. We develop common structures and processes across the organization and provide expert advice in all areas of taxation. Our team includes specialists in international corporate tax, indirect taxes, transfer pricing and tax control — working together to support strategic business decisions.
About your job
In this position, you're responsible for leading and supporting M&A-related tax work across the Sandvik Group. This includes being involved in and leading transaction-related matters, such as tax restructuring and tax integration of new businesses. You also contribute to broader international corporate tax matters, helping shape legal structures, financing strategies, and tax policies.
Your key tasks include:
- Leading the tax workstream in M&A projects and supporting integration activities.
- Driving or supporting restructuring initiatives.
- Analysing new legislation and implementing updated tax processes.
- Managing relationships with external advisors.
- Training and advising business units on tax-related matters.
You report to the Head of International Tax and are based at the World Trade Center in Stockholm.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with several years' experience working with international corporate tax matters in a global organization, in addition to expertise in M&A and structuring. With your extensive tax knowledge and business-oriented mindset, you support business initiatives and are used to leading projects. You have a relevant university degree in law or equivalent experience. Fluency in English is required, and Swedish is a plus.
You work with integrity, take accountability for your work and thrive in a role that requires high independence. But as you’re a part of a large tax team at Sandvik, you’re never alone. You enjoy collaborating with others and you build trust – both by building long-term relationships and by offering advice and guidance based on facts, experience, sound judgement and thorough business understanding. Through good presentation and communication skills, you interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization in a balanced way.
