Job Summary

Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for Sales Engineer Underground based in Jakarta.

As a part of Indonesia strategic execution plan for UG business development, this position will be focused to promote and sell the organization’s products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range, or list of customer accounts to achieve significant sales targets. To apply and use knowledge of sales process and equipment to support front line sales representatives in promoting and selling the organization's products and services within assigned geographic area, product range or list of customer accounts to achieve significant sales targets.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for achievement of budgeted revenue.

  • Responsible for price quality in line with Sandvik’s processes and rules.

  • Develop sales opportunities and plan for Sandvik product lines within the defined territory or set of customers.

  • Ensure Customer is in compliance with Sandvik terms and conditions of sale and liaise between Customer and Sandvik to ensure all issues are settled in a timely manner.

  • Provide the Company with regular status reports on business activities, opportunity development and overall satisfaction of the Customers base (CRM).

  • Work as part of the account management team for local or global accounts to identify customer sales opportunities.

  • Ensure CRM/ sales Tools is up to date with valid cases and customer visit reports.

  • Create Sales Tools Case or update to won/loss status.

  • Capture new underground mining and tunnelling greenfield projects, diversifying the Indonesian business and positioning Sandvik as the leading underground OEM for both local customers and international companies operating in Indonesia.

  • Identifying and profiling key target customers, markets and sectors specially in Underground Mine, Tunnelling and Automation.

  • Handling customer questions, inquiries, application studies, quotes/proposal and complaints.

  • Setting sales goals and developing sales strategies to penetrate the new market & established customers.

  • Using Salesforce, provide weekly and monthly reports on sales numbers, achievement, and sales visit activity.

  • As the ambassador and role model of the underground-related equipment Divisions in Indonesia, namely Underground Drilling, Loading and Hauling and Automation / Digital Mining Technologies

COLLABORATION WITH OTHER BUSINESS LINE

  • Existing UG customers and new developing UG project including tunnelling.

  • Report to Sales Manager Equipment and dotted line to BLM UG Equipment and BLM Automation.

  • Continue to support/ dotted line to BLM Automation for developing sales both UG and Surface Automation.

  • Identify and report any unsafe work behaviors/practices, hazards and incidents immediately.

PREFERRED ENVIRONMENT & MOBILITY

  • Travel from site to site within country of Indonesia.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • > 6 years experiences of proven sales progression or Underground Mining Engineer.

  • Candidates should have experienced in Mining or Construction Industries.

  • Bachelors in mining or relevant experience will be preferable.

  • Proficient in Sandvik’s underground-related equipment offering and application.

  • High motivation and desire for continuous self-development in business development, value-selling and relationship building.

  • Excellent English communication (verbal & written), presentation, and interpersonal skills, along with high level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity.

  • Domicile in Jakarta or satellite cities residence is favorable
