Design Draftsperson

Are you passionate about bringing ideas to life through design? We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design Draftsperson to join our Engineering team. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a key part in developing 3D models and manufacturing drawings that support our Design Engineers and production team. Your work will help ensure our products are built with precision, quality, and innovation.

What you’ll do:

  • 3D Design Specialist: Prepare and develop accurate 3D models and manufacturing drawings to support the Design Engineering team.
  • Collaborative Partner: Work closely with engineers, production teams, and external stakeholders to ensure design requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Detail-Oriented Drafter: Create general assembly drawings with clear instructions, notes, and references to guide production.
  • Standards Champion: Ensure all designs meet dimensional standards and apply appropriate tolerances.
  • SAP Contributor: Manage documentation and data entry in SAP, including material creation, revisions, and updates.
  • Cross-Functional Communicator: Liaise with marketing, customers, suppliers, and consultants to align on design expectations and timelines.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experienced Designer: Background in producing 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation.
  • CAD Proficiency: Skilled in Inventor CAD or similar 3D modelling software, with a solid understanding of 2D drafting using AutoCAD.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience in manufacturing environments; familiarity with injection moulding is a plus.
  • Qualified Draftsperson: Certificate IV or equivalent in Engineering Drafting.
  • SAP Savvy: Experience using SAP for material management, document control, and BOMs.
