We’re now looking for a Shift Mechanical Fitter to join our Engineering team.

ABOUT YOU

You will have demonstratable experienced mechanical engineering and hold an trade apprenticeship with minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering. The main focus of the role will be to undertake mechanical work on the site’s equipment. Training will be provided. Experience of COMPEX and to having a good level of IT literacy would be a great advantage.

This role is based at our manufacturing site in Neath and is on a 3-shift working pattern, 5 days per week, mornings, afternoons and nights.

Key responsibilities include:

To undertake all mechanical work as required.
Comply with all Standard Working Practices (SWP’s) and permits to work where appropriate.
Monitor the Engineering Requests (ER’s) and carry out appropriate tasks.
Carry out plant checks as defined.
When necessary, work planned shutdowns.
When requested be prepared to attend the work site out of normal working hours to address issues of safety, security or production equipment breakdowns.
Participation in the Engineering call out system.
Comply with the company and engineering quality procedures.
