This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys being both handson and strategic. You will build the core of our Groupwide People Insights Platform while steering its longterm direction. If you love creating scalable analytics products, enabling selfservice insights, and driving real impact across a global organization, this role is for you.
What you will do
As our People Insights Platform Lead, you will take full ownership of the People Insights Platform, shaping the semantic layer, data structures, and shared metrics that ensure one unified source of truth across Sandvik. You will build and maintain the core components of the platform, including Power BI models and reusable templates.
In this role, you will also lead delivery endtoend together with the data engineers. You’ll run intake, backlog refinement, and sprint cycles, while remaining handson by developing dashboards, prototypes, data models, and other semantic assets yourself. Ensuring that every release is stable, scalable, and of high technical quality will be a central part of your responsibility.
Collaboration is key. You will work closely with Business Area People Analytics Partners, Group PA, and IT, translating technical decisions into clear, businessfriendly explanations. You’ll help drive adoption across the organization by hosting walkthroughs, onboarding sessions, and practical training.
You will oversee and actively contribute to data engineering work by partnering with data engineers, engaging in data ingestion and transformation processes, and validating and preparing datasets to enable reliable analytics and reporting pipelines.
Finally, you will help advance our longterm analytics vision. You’ll lay the groundwork for AIdriven insights, crossdomain analyses, and advanced analytics, while promoting continuous improvement and innovation across the platform.
What you bring
You bring solid experience in building enterprisegrade Power BI solutions, supported by strong skills in DAX, data modelling, and designing semantic layers. You’re handson with ETL/ELT, SQL, or similar data transformation tools, and you know how to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, translate business needs into analytics solutions, and deliver highquality products. Experience with HR data is a plus.
