Division Cost Controller (m/f/d)

Reporting directly to our Division Finance Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring costs related to global functions and ensuring proper documentation for cross-charges and cost allocations within the division. This role has direct exposure to senior leadership with the opportunity to coordinate key processes. What you will be doing:
- Track and analyze costs for HQ and other global functions or projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and actual cost analysis.
- Deliver regular reporting on budget vs. actual performance, identifying variances and initiating corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and review monthly postings to ensure HQ costs are booked to the correct cost centers, and GL account.
- Maintain and improve a cost approval process for all HQ expenditures that is compliant with internal control requirements and corporate governance policies (e.g. levels of authority).
- Validate shared service recharge calculations, allocations, and intercompany billings and ensure the proper documentation is maintained in line with internal policies.
- Prepare the Division HQ cost allocations for operating entities and maintain supporting documentation.
- Drive continuous process improvements to enhance transparency, efficiency, and compliance.
What we are looking for:
- A degree in finance, economics, or another relevant field.
- Previous work experience in a finance function including experience in group/division reporting as well as budgeting/forecasting.
- A proactive, structured, and process-oriented approach combined with a strong analytical and problem-solving mentality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and work with intercultural and cross-functional teams.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
- Fluency in English.
