About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Commercial Specialist to join our team based in Milton, Brisbane.


This role plays a key part in supporting the execution of Sandvik's Parts & Services commercial strategy by providing expert commercial advice, financial modelling, contract and framework development, pricing support and analytical insights. A key focus will be supporting the development of framework agreements and customer commercial contracts, as well as coordinating strong commercial responses to major tenders, to enable profitable and sustainable growth.


Working closely with stakeholders across Sales, Portfolio Management, Service Operations and Finance, you will develop commercially sound, customer-focused solutions that maximise lifecycle value, support aftermarket growth and enhance customer outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team while influencing commercial performance across a significant area of the business.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Develop commercial frameworks that support profitable growth and value-based selling.
  • Provide commercial leadership and input for major tenders, including response development, pricing structures, risk assessment and approval requirements.
  • Support the development and review of framework agreements, customer commercial contracts, commercial submissions and service agreements.
  • Develop financial models, business cases and profitability analysis for strategic opportunities.
  • Validate commercial assumptions, pricing methodologies, costs and expected margins.
  • Partner with Sales teams to support opportunity qualification, negotiations and deal development.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to improve commercial capability across the business.
  • Identify and manage commercial, contractual and financial risks.
  • Support governance processes, approvals and compliance with Sandvik policies and standards.
  • Maintain commercial documentation, templates and contract standards.
  • Analyse market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity to support business growth.
  • Contribute to the development of lifecycle and aftermarket service offerings.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and commercial excellence.
  • Champion safe work practices and maintain compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements

About you

You are a commercially astute professional who thrives on solving complex business challenges and delivering value-driven outcomes. You enjoy partnering with a broad range of stakeholders and can confidently translate commercial data into practical business solutions.


With strong analytical capability and a proactive approach, you bring a balanced combination of commercial judgement, negotiation skills and financial acumen. You are comfortable working across multiple projects, influencing decision-making and supporting strategic growth initiatives.


You bring:

  • Experience in commercial, pricing, tender management, contract management or a similar commercial role.
  • Strong financial modelling, analytical and business case development skills.
  • Experience supporting complex commercial opportunities and customer agreements.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to assess risk and maximise value.
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience within mining, industrial services, heavy equipment or aftermarket support environments will be highly regarded.
  • Relevant commercial, finance or business qualifications will be advantageous.
