Job Summary
Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for Parts and Service Sales Representative based in Balikpapan / Customer Sites, Indonesia.
The role is responsible for driving sustainable aftermarket growth by developing assigned customer accounts, identifying parts and service opportunities, promoting Sandvik’s aftermarket solutions, and ensuring a high standard of customer engagement and commercial follow-up across the assigned territory.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and manage assigned customer accounts to achieve agreed parts and service sales objectives.
Identify, qualify, and progress aftermarket opportunities, including spare parts, components, rebuilds, repair solutions, service agreements, consignment, VMI, inspections, and other customer support offerings.
Maintain strong and professional customer relationships through regular site visits, structured sales calls, technical and commercial discussions, and timely follow-up of customer requirements.
Prepare and follow up quotations, proposals, sales forecasts, account plans, and opportunity pipelines in accordance with business priorities and internal processes.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support parts availability, accurate lead-time communication, order follow-up, delivery performance, invoicing support, and resolution of customer issues.
Monitor market conditions, customer fleet development, competitor activities, and installed base opportunities to support business planning and growth initiatives.
Promote Sandvik’s value proposition by emphasizing safety, reliability, genuine parts, productivity, lifecycle cost benefits, and sustainable customer solutions.
COLLABORATION WITH OTHER BUSINESS LINE
The role works within a matrix organization and collaborates closely with Parts, Service, Supply Chain, Finance, Contracts, Product Support, Business Line Managers, and regional or global support functions.
The position will engage with customer maintenance, procurement, warehouse, and management teams to understand operational requirements and provide timely commercial and technical support.
The position reports directly to the Parts and Services Sales Manager and works closely with site teams, service supervisors, and customer support functions.
SUPERVISION/MANAGE/ACT AS A COACH
Provide support, guidance, and information to relevant internal stakeholders regarding customer requirements, sales process discipline, opportunity follow-up, and aftermarket value selling, when required.

Demonstrate exemplary EHS behavior and ensure the organization complies with Sandvik global EHS Policy, ISO 14001/45001, and SMKP requirements.
Empower all employees to stop and report any work that appears unsafe or could cause harm, without fear of retaliation.
PREFERRED ENVIRONMENT & MOBILITY
The role is office and field based, including work at customer offices, mine sites, workshops, and Sandvik facilities.
The successful candidate must be willing to travel regularly to customer sites within Indonesia and, when required, within Sandvik’s regional business area.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in parts sales, service sales, product support, customer support, or aftermarket business, preferably within the mining, heavy equipment, or related industries.
Sound understanding of mining equipment, spare parts, components, maintenance practices, and aftermarket service solutions.
Having technical background in heavy equipment, mining equipment, drilling rigs, and underground mining machinery is highly preferred, with a solid understanding of equipment operation, maintenance requirements, and aftermarket support practices.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to prepare and manage quotations, proposals, forecasts, account plans, and opportunity pipelines.
Excellent communication, negotiation, customer relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, follow up business opportunities, and collaborate across functions in a professional manner.
Intermediate English proficiency, both written and spoken.
