About the opportunity
We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic HD Fitters and Auto Electricians to join our Field Service team, supporting key mining operations across VIC and SA.
As a Service Technician, you’ll play a vital role in providing on-site maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of Sandvik’s Underground Loaders, Trucks, and Drills. Join a diverse and hands-on role where you’ll tackle mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, vehicle control systems, and cutting-edge automation systems in underground environments.
Roster: 8/6 Roster with travel to different customer sites across SA and VIC
Machinery worked on: Underground Loaders, Trucks & Drills (Sandvik experience is a bonus).
Responsibilities:
Take charge of mechanical duties, performing maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
Execute mechanical maintenance tasks according to plans, ensuring equipment integrity and safe operation at all times.
Drive efficiency by providing insightful feedback for maintenance planning improvements.
Keep meticulous records of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time logs.
Champion safety by adhering to all policies and procedures, especially Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.
About you
We are looking for a SA based team member with the ability to complete DIDO work and travel across states. The ideal candidate is a trade-qualified HD Fitter or Auto Electrician with experience working on underground equipment such as drill rigs, loaders, or trucks. They demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, are proactive and self-motivated, and can work independently. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with basic computer literacy to complete service documentation. Basic computer literacy and a Class C Manual Driver’s License are required. Additionally, you will be able to successfully pass pre-employment medicals, police and reference checks, and ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
