AUTO ELECTRICIAN SPECIALIST
Sandvik Mining and Construction DRC is a Sales Unit based in Lubumbashi within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, a Business Area and a leading supplier of equipment, tools, services, and support for the mining industry. We also provide solutions and expertise across a wide range of applications, including rock drilling, rock cutting, loading and hauling, tunnelling, and quarrying.
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Electrician to join our Service team. This role is key to ensuring equipment reliability and delivering high-quality technical support to our customers in a demanding mining environment.
Your role
Business Growth and Development
Identifying opportunities for expanding services: Analysing market trends and customer needs to identify potential new services or areas of specialisation that can attract more customers and increase revenue.
Building and maintaining customer relationships: Providing excellent customer service, building trust with clients, and encouraging repeat business and referrals through positive interactions and quality work.
Networking and partnerships: Building relationships with other businesses, suppliers, or industry professionals to create partnerships that can lead to new business opportunities or collaborations.
Continuous learning and skill development: Staying updated on the latest automotive technologies, tools, and techniques to provide high-quality service and differentiate the mechanic shop from competitors.
Safety and Environment
Complies with Sandvik Mining EHS policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.
Identifies and reports any unsafe work practices.
Personal Leadership
Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with Sandvik Values, Policies, and Procedures.
Takes responsibility for personal development and enhancement of skills.
Your profile
Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Auto Electrical) with minimum 4 years’ experience
Experience in mining equipment (underground or surface) preferred
Exposure to Sandvik or other OEM equipment is an advantage
Strong knowledge of auto electrical systems and diagnostics
Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and drawings
Basic understanding of mechanical systems
Experience with equipment troubleshooting and repair tools
Knowledge of automation systems is an advantage
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently in demanding site environments
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Customer-oriented mindset
