About the opportunity

We’re on the lookout for a detail-driven Estimator to join our high-performing team at our workshop in Kenwick.

As our Workshop Estimator, you’ll play a key role in quoting and costing service, repair, and maintenance jobs within our busy workshop environment. Your ability to accurately assess job scopes, price labour and materials, and collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders will directly impact customer satisfaction and business profitability.

This role is primarily office-based, but you'll need to be hands-on - regularly engaging with both our workshop operations and sales teams.

You'll also occasionally visit customer and supplier sites, including mine sites and industrial environments, which means adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements. Flexibility and adaptability are key as you support a range of operational needs across varied locations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for service and repair jobs, including labour, materials, and third-party services

  • Collaborate with workshop supervisors, technicians, and procurement teams to scope and cost work accurately

  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to gather job requirements and source competitive pricing

  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, job performance, and cost variances

  • Support continuous improvement by refining estimation tools and practices


About you

  • Trade qualification or degree in engineering (or related field)

  • Experience in estimating within a workshop, maintenance, or manufacturing setting

  • Strong knowledge of workshop operations, materials, and labour cost structures

  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Maximo)

  • Excellent communication, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • A safety-first mindset and understanding of relevant standards and compliance
