HR Specialist
We are looking for a dynamic HR Specialist to support our Malaysia Sales Office, based in Shah Alam. In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to the Territory Manager, Indochina, while managing day-to-day HR operations.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Malaysian labor regulations, recruitment, and employee relations. In addition, you will serve as a key point of contact for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) matters, ensuring compliance and promoting a safe working environment.
This position is offered on a one-year fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day HR operations, including full employee lifecycle such as onboarding, probation reviews, confirmations, and offboarding
Handle end-to-end recruitment activities
Partner with managers and employees to provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
Ensure HR practices are aligned with business objectives and foster a positive work environment
Support workforce planning, employee engagement activities, and performance management processes
Track and analyze HR metrics and recommend best practices and solutions
Manage employee relations matters in a timely and professional manner
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements
Support HR reporting, audits, and internal compliance activities
Stay up to date with employment legislation and recommend updates to policies as needed
Support HR initiatives and projects in line with business objectives
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
Serve as a safety point of contact
Support workplace safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture
Facilitate hazard reporting and ensure incidents or safety concerns are properly documented and addressed
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
3–5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a multinational or fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and employment regulations
Exposure to EHS or workplace safety processes would be an advantage
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office
