Manufacturing Process Engineer – Preparation & Automation

Curious about how manufacturing processes come together behind the scenes? At Sandvik Coromant, we’re now looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer – a role that focuses on practical improvements and automation in production.

Every day brings new opportunities to refine workflows, support colleagues, and help shape efficient, reliable operations. We’re eager to meet you!

Your mission

Step into a role where developing, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes is your everyday mission. You’re central to preparing production steps and driving automation, collaborating across engineering, IT, and production to deliver solutions that make a real impact. Working with ERP and MES, you standardize workflows, improve digital processes, and support data migration and system implementation projects. Your expertise ensures shopfloor readiness, from production design input to final product, and you guide others in process planning and documentation.

Included in your responsibility:

  • Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes.
  • Lead and participate in projects for new production solutions and upgrades, collaborating with design, quality, and maintenance teams.
  • Create automation solutions and methods, in various platforms, to improve production and process data.

The location for this position is Gimo and we offer a hybrid setup.

Your profile

We’re looking for someone with a university degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field. You’ve got hands-on experience in process planning and production preparation – ideally in a global manufacturing environment. ERP and MES are familiar tools, and you’re comfortable with process standardization, workflow optimization, and digital improvement. Experience with programming and automated process planning is a plus. Acting locally in a global environment, you need to be fluent in both Swedish and English.

Curiosity and a drive for improvement set you apart. You’re adaptable, systematic, and motivated by making things work better. Balancing technical know-how with strong communication skills, you collaborate easily across teams and embrace change in a dynamic environment.

Some words about your new team

Here, you join a team that’s passionate about continuous improvement and automation. We work together to solve challenges, share knowledge, and support each other – making a real difference in Sandvik’s journey toward smarter manufacturing.
