Join Our Team as a Business Compliance, Risk, and Governance Officer

Employment Type: Part-time (22 hours/week – flexible schedule)

We’re currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Business Compliance, Risk & Governance Officer to join our Finance team. This is a newly created, hands-on role designed for an individual contributor—not a team management role.

With flexible part-time hours (3 full days or shorter hours across 5 days), this opportunity is perfect for someone looking to balance professional growth with personal life, while making a meaningful contribution to our business operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure compliance with key regulations like Trade Compliance, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), Competition Law, and Data Privacy.
  • Lead ongoing risk management efforts to identify and mitigate risks, aligning with Sandvik’s global standards.
  • Support internal controls, helping to enhance and monitor systems that ensure we meet compliance standards.
  • Create and deliver training to build a culture of integrity and compliance.
  • Support ESG and sustainability compliance efforts to align with our corporate values.
  • Manage various administrative tasks, including checklists and reporting requirements for head office

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or governance.
  • Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Approach: Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently, while collaborating effectively with others.
