About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager – Fire Suppression to join our team, based in Virginia, Brisbane.

We’re looking for a passionate, commercially minded professional to drive growth, strengthen key customer and dealer relationships, and champion our industry‑leading fire suppression solutions across multiple Sales Areas.

In this influential role, you will partner closely with stakeholders across the business to develop sales strategies, support global teams, identify new opportunities, and contribute to long‑term product and market development. You will also play a pivotal part in supporting Sales Areas with coaching, customer engagement, opportunity management, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales Areas to develop clear, competitive Fire Suppression sales strategies.

  • Coordinate monthly Fire Suppression pulse and champion meetings, reviewing KPIs, targets, and open opportunities.

  • Support and coach Sales Areas in developing persuasive pitches and approaches for potential clients.

  • Strengthen relationships with sales channel partners, dealers, and key stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, distribution channels, and sales initiatives that support growth.

  • Coordinate market data to support product development, analysis, and engineering activities.

  • Ensure accurate sales pipeline management and CRM data integrity across all regions.

  • Lead forecasting efforts and support global teams in meeting sales targets.

  • Support global sales teams with product launches, competitor monitoring, and portfolio lifecycle decisions.

  • Lead negotiations with customers and key external stakeholders.

  • Prospect for new OEM and channel opportunities and prepare compelling business pitches.

About you

You are a motivated, relationship‑driven professional with strong commercial acumen and experience in sales, business development, or technical commercial roles, ideally within the mining or heavy industry sector. You will bring experience in selling within the operational mining industry who holds strong communication and negotiation skills that will enable you to build strong client relationships.
