We currently have a vacancy for a EC&I Engineer within our PU in Coventry.

We are looking for a EC& I to help us ensure the continuity of production and the enhancement of output beyond existing levels. You will have a part to play in developing our site whilst ensuring that all equipment and processes meet all current and future EHS legislation.

Job Summary

In this role you will be in the unique position of being able to offer solutions for equipment specification, assessment and justification for the development of the site EC&I capability. As a technical lead, you will also support colleagues to meet the high standards expected.

Your profile

For this role it is essential you will possess a sound technical EC&I knowledge and be use to providing guidance & technical support on various areas and regulations, whilst supporting the site teams and reviewing technical solutions.

You will also be able to demonstrate experience in some of the following areas:

Working with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)

Working with Control Systems

Lightning protection

Functional Safety Technical-pack creation, engineering documentation and maintenance guidance

Managing electrical systems in explosive atmospheres

Reviewing proposals and new opportunities, both with process equipment and site infrastructure.

Ensuring construction elements are incorporated into the design

Managing Full project Lifecycle

Assisting with improvement of plant reliability, availability, maintainability & efficiency.

In addition candidates should have:

Engineering degree in a relevant Engineering or Process Safety discipline, or equivalent knowledge

Experience of delivering electrical projects
