About the Opportunity
The Regional Inventory Planner is a key role supporting the success of the Rock Tools APAC Sales Area. You will help the business meet sales targets, manage working capital, and improve customer satisfaction by ensuring we have the right stock available at the right time. You will maintain optimal inventory levels across our network, working closely with internal teams to align stock with customer demand, production capability, and financial goals. You will also review slow-moving and obsolete stock and recommend actions to improve overall stock health across the region.
Responsibilities:
Follow Sandvik’s safety policies and support our Zero Harm vision.
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality in all work.
Work closely with Sales and site Operations teams to ensure optimum inventory levels to support customer service while meeting NWC targets.
Partner with Outbound Planners, Sales and Demand Planning to set safety stock, lot sizes, and lead times.
Support new product introductions and trials with product line and applications teams.
Drive slow moving/obsolescent inventory reviews and inventory reduction initiatives.
Analyse forecasts and stock levels to optimise inventory across all stockroom and report on variances to the financial forecast and contractual obligations.
Provide leave coverage for Outbound Planners
Drive process improvements and technology enhancements, with a high focus on AI.
About you
We’re looking for someone who has a solid understanding of core supply chain principles: safety stock management, ROP/Max, EOQ/MOQ, lead time variability, demand planning and replenishment methods. You’ll be the key driver of inventory performance and excellence across the APAC network, partnering with sales, operations, and logistics teams to deliver consistent, accurate inventory outcomes. Strong Excel skills are important, and experience with SAP S4/HANA (Order Management or Materials Management) is a bonus.
You are a highly organised team player with strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders.
This is a Monday-to-Friday role with flexible work options, allowing a mix of work-from-home and time in a nearby Sandvik office. The position also includes participation in an on-call roster on weekends and public holidays.
