Technical Advisor - LOHA

We are seeking a candidate for the position of Technical Advisor-LOHA based in OT site.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • To ensure efficient maintenance of the client’s fleet of equipment at Oyu Tolgoi LLC’s Underground Mine site, by carrying out required work as directed by Supervisors to maintain availability whilst minimizing costs and waste and ensuring Site and SMC Safety and Environmental guidelines are adhered to.
  • Managing the Service Support to accomplish the goals and objectives of the business.
  • Managing the daily requirements and engage the relevant departments of the business to provide a high level of customer service satisfaction.
  • Enhance existing Site Service by providing input into strategic plans for the continued expansion of the business.
  • Responsible for important customer assignments to perform systematic fault finding and providing prompt, correct and safe solutions.
  • Lead and develop the Product Support and OTUG Service team.
  • Oversee employees working within these teams to ensure maximum levels of productivity to meet required deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Supervise and support employees. Has formal supervisory responsibilities; sets priorities for and coaches’ employees to meet daily deadlines. Acts in accordance with the Sandvik Leadership model.
  • Uses judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.
  • Work closely with customer, using a specialist understanding of customer needs to act as a trusted advisor and determine the appropriate solution.
  • Reporting the important product cases into the EQ Division systems.
  • Facilitation of coaching and mentoring of site technical team.
  • Perform adjustments and fine tuning of systems for customer equipment.
  • Use deep knowledge of the tasks, tools, and procedures in providing technical support to the team & customer.
  • Commissioning new products.
  • Root Cause Analysis/Trouble Shooting (Including 1st line support).
  • Function as first line support for helpdesk issues & technical support in Territory.
  • Collect technical feedback and provide feedback to Technical Manager & EQ Division Product line.
  • Bulletin Administration and Support.
  • Assist Planning department in the optimization of maintenance strategy development, parts planning, and important documentational stuffs.
  • Report daily work status to managers in a specific site standard format.
  • Coach, Mentor, Trainer incl. knowledge transfer.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by direct Manager.
  • Source and join technical training courses and assessments of Divisions.
  • Comply with Safe Work standards, procedures and instructions and monitor fellow personnel on their follow up and implementations
  • Adhere to company and client environmental and safety policies and procedures
  • Strict adherence to company rules and customer regulations
  • Follow the safety & necessary Take 5, SWP and risk assessment procedures.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge and experience with Sandvik products an advantage.
  • Have a professional technician/ engineer license.
  • Maintenance experience in underground mining equipment and heavy machinery.
  • Strong safety management culture.
  • Right attitude to deliver & learn together as a team.
  • Demonstrated strong customer relationship management.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
